Mahajan Sabha to celebrate birth anniversary of Lala Hans Raj

JAMMU, Sept 30: Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha is going to celebrate 155th birth anniversary of Sher-e-Duggar, Lala Hans Raj Mahajan on October 2 by organizing a series of programmes.
This was informed by Romesh Gupta, President of the Mahajan Sabha, while talking to media persons, here today, alongwith senior members of the Sabha.
He said that the celebrations will commence with effect from October 2, 2021 at Lala Hans Raj Mahajan Park, Sunder Singh Gurdwara Road, Jammu. After Hawan in the morning from 8.30 am sharp, tributes shall be paid to the great social reformer.
“It shall be followed by a series of events on different dates, like Painting competition, Rangoli competition, debate etc. This year a new item `Dogri Sangeet’ has also been added in the programmes to be performed on any convenient date,” said Romesh Gupta, adding that the celebrations will conclude with a grand valedictory function on December 23, 2021, during which meritorious students and prominent personalities will be honoured at the Mahajan Bhawan.
Describing Lala Hans Raj Mahajan as a great social reformer, founder of Akhil Bhartiya Mahajan Shiromani Sabha, Rajput Sabha, Dogra Sadar Sabha, Kashyap Rajput Sabha, Sain Samaj, Istri Sudhar Sabha, Anjuman Islamia and many other organizations, Romesh Gupta appealed to the general public and Mahajan Biradri in particular to reach the programme venue and pay their tributes to Sher-e-Duggar in large number.
