JAMMU, Nov 15: Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha (JCMS) today released an amount of Rs 1, 83,600/- towards widow pensions and scholarships to 204 beneficiaries.
Speaking on the occasion, the Sabha President Romesh Chander Gupta stressed upon the need to uplift the weaker section of the society. He urged all the people of the community to come forward to help the poor and needy sections of the society.
In the office bearers meeting, it was decided to enhance the pension amount from Rs 300/- per month to Rs 500/- per month in future.
General Secretary of the Sabha Sanjay Mahajan confirmed that six new beneficiaries were identified for the pension.
Others present on the occasion included Shiv Partap Gupta, Harinder Gupta, Dr Mohan Lal, Surinder Gupta, C P Gupta, Yash Pal Gupta, Subash Gupta, Atul Gupta, Mukesh Mahajan, Balbir Gupta, Ramesh Gupta and Rajneesh Gupta (Pinki).
