JAMMU, May 12: Kashmiri Bhasha Evam Samskriti Pritishtan “Sampriti” held a “Mafil-e-Afsana” at K L Saigal Hall, Jammu, in which five eminent Kashmiri short story writers presented their short stories.
On the occasion, B L Saraf, Dr P N Trisal and Dr R L Bhat were in the presidium. Dr Roshan Saraf eminent poet and physician compeered the program. Welcoming the audience and speakers, president Samprati, Dr R Bhat spoke of the mission of Samprati to promote the literature in providing creative writers a forum and platform to present their literary creations. Samprati, he said, also organizes lectures to promote the spirit of analysis and appreciation of poetry and prose writings.
The short stories were followed by an interactive session of appreciation and analysis of the short stories. Those who spoke in this interactive session included Vijay Wali, Maharaj Krishen Maharaj, Tej Sagar, Dr Rajinder Kumar, Shiban Khaibari, Brij Nath Betab, Moti Lal Keemu, Avtar Hugami, B L Saraf, Dr R L Bhat, Dr Roshan Saraf, well known writer, B L Saraf expressed his impression of the Mafil-e-Afsana as a member of the non writing audience.
In his presidential address, Dr P N Trisal gave a comprehensive critical analysis of the five short stories presented in the session. Others who were present in the audience included A K Naaz, president Naagraad, Bimla Aima, B.N. Abhilash, S N Sanam, P N Shad, Mohani Koul, S K Tiku, Gokal Dembi and S N Veer. Samprati secretary, Kundan Paras, presented the vote of thanks
