AKHNOOR, Dec 14: Senior Congress leader and former Minister and Member Parliament, Madan Lal Sharma apealed the people of Akhnoor to vote and support Sham Lal Sharma, PHE Minister on the basis of his proven track record and performance said in a satirical reference that others demand vote on the basis of other persons and speculations.
He said, “We seek vote on the basis of our performance as both me and Sham Lal have served the people of Akhnoor for the long time because of which Akhnoor is well among the fast growing constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir”.
Former Minister was addressing a series of public meetings at Sungal, Dhok Khalsa, Kodewala, Chajjar in Akhnoor Constituency, here today.
He said that Akhnoor is one of the Constituency in the State which has got maximum share during his short tenure as MLA and MP, especially during Sham Lal Sharma’s two consecutive tenures as MLA and Minister.
Praising Congress for development, he said that during last 12 years entire State witnessed unprecedented development and remote, hilly and backward areas have received much attention.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Baldev Raj Sharma, Working president, Sarpanch Rajveer Singh, Kuldeep Sharma, Naib Sarpanch Pawan, Kuldeep Singh, Om Parkash and Deepak.
