Madan appeals Govt to consider AIIMS for Jammu

JAMMU, Mar 20: Veteran Congress leader, Ex-MP and Minister, Madan Lal Sharma appealed the State and Central Government to re-consider sanction of AIIMS for Jammu in view of its dire need and lack of Medical infra which force people to be referred to Chandigarh and Delhi.
He said that there is no harm in providing IIT for Kashmir on the pattern of Central University but providing of AIIMS at Jammu is must.
Sharma cautioned BJP not to compromise the interests of Jammu as it is Jammu which has mandated them to power. He also advised them to ensure equal distribution of funds among Jammu and Kashmir regions and added that Congress will keep a close vigil on these issues so that anti-Jammu decisions are not taken.
He condemned the non seriousness of Jammu based BJP Ministers and leaders who have allowed decision of not having AIIMS at Jammu happen.
