KISHTWAR, Sept 22: Sarv Shakti Sewak Sanstha J&K Machail Yatra Management Committee in its special meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of Pt. Krishan Lal Ji expressed grave concern over changing of route of holy mace which was leaving from house of Nek Ram Manhas, senior most devotee of Mata Machail and founder member of the Committee along with Thakur Kulbeer Singh Jamwal. The speakers while condemning the action of district police demanded action against the officer responsible for the same.
The meeting also criticized the local MLA who is also a Minister saying that on the very day he was too present in the town but he failed to intervene in the matter and allow the holy mace to proceed as per the tradition.
The meeting said the action of police has hurt the sentiments of the people and there is a lot of resentment among the devotees.
The meeting also through a resolution decided to expel those members of the Sanstha who supported the police action. Through another resolution it was decided to construct the yatri Bhawan at base camp Gulab Garh.
