JAMMU, Apr 23: Lalded Women Welfare Society staged series of Nukkad plays on “Addiction of Drugs”, in continuation to its Saturday series in Jammu.
It is the story of three friends Nathu, Mukesh and Vinny, who used to live in a city since childhood happily. Suddenly one day Mukesh and Vinny notice Nathu taking drugs. It came to the fore that Nathu has become addict and was taking drugs continuously as he was in a bad company. Vinny and Mukesh decide to bring Nathu out of bad company and pursue Nathu to leave all the menace, but Nathu declines to give any credence and instead abuses both his friends. One day Nathu becomes severely ill. His parents take Nathu to doctor where it is diagnosed that Nathu is suffering from mouth cancer. Nathu recalls the advice of his friends not to chew tobacco etc.
The play was written by Aditya Verma and directed by Naveen Pal.
Those who performed in the play included Naveen Pal, Aditya Verma, Mahinder Singh, Santosh Basotra and others.
