Lt Gen Saranjeet takes over as new GOC of White Knight Corps

JAMMU: Lt Gen Saranjeet Singh on Wednesday assumed command of the elite White Knight Corps from Lt Gen AK Sharma.

In a farewell message, General Sharma complimented all ranks of White Knight Corps for their professionalism and dedication and thanked the civil administration for the excellent synergy with the Armed Forces.

Lt Gen Saranjeet Singh was commissioned in 1981 into the SIKH Light Infantry Regiment. The General officer is an alumnus of DSSC, Wellington, Army War College, Mhow and National Defence College, New Delhi.

He is well versed with the terrain and existing operational dynamics of the area South of Pir Panjal having commanded a Brigade and a Division, in this region. The General officer has also held various operational and staff appointments in field formations and also had tenures in Perspective Planning Directorate and Military Operations Directorate at Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence (Army).
