LPGEF discusses demands

JAMMU, Jan 15: All J&K Low Paid Government Employees Federation (LPGEF) has urged upon State Governor’s Administration to give priority to release immediate 4th annual installment of sixth CPC arrears, payable from April 2014, 7% and 10 % DA installment due from January and July 2014 to State employees and pensioners who are reeling under the onslaught of sky rocketing prices of almost all essentialities of life.
This was stated in  a statement issued, wherein Abdul Majid Khan, president,  All J&K Low Paid Government Employees Federation said that the previous coalition NC-Congress Government headed by Omar Abdullah played politics with genuine needs of aspiration of State Employees and Pensioners and others by way of so called strikes by their own men within employees community.
The Federation chief further made a strong plea to the Government to revise minimum daily wage to Rs 350, remuneration of village guards at par with minimum daily wage in vogue in the State.
