JAMMU, July 23: A provincial committee meeting of Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) was held here today where Kabla Singh, president Provincial Teachers Association presided over.
Speaking in the meeting LPEF president, Abdul Majid Khan supported the demand of adhoc and contractual employees and daily rated workers for speedy regularisation, raise in the minimum daily wages to at least Rs 450, remunerations of village guards at par with minimum daily wage honorarium of numberdars, Anganwari workers, helpers and ReT teachers.
Reorganisation of clerical cadre working in the offices outside civil secretariat at par with those working in civil secretarial was also demanded.
Speakers in the meeting also flayed the union budget saying that it contains nothing to arrest price rise, creation of jobs for unemployed youth etc.
