LPEF seeks early implementation of 7th CPC’s recommendations

JAMMU, Oct 23:  Abdul Majid Khan, President of All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) severely criticized the Government for employing dilatory tactics and made a strong plea to implement 7th CPC’s recommendations on central pattern in favour of the employees and pensioners of J&K State.
Abdul Majid Khan said that the State Government, as per past practice, stands committed to implement 7th CPC’s recommendations on Central pattern. The Government has setup a committee to workout the modalities and after attending its belated meeting recently the Finance Minister came out with a statement in the news media that State has more scales of pay as compared to those contained in the Pay Commission’s report and accepted by the Union Government which is working on removing this disparity. Abdul Majid Khan termed it as the delaying tactics and nothing else.
The Federation Chief also sought release of July 2017 DA instalment, raise in the Medical Allowance to at least Rs 1000, revision of minimum daily wage to at least  Rs 350 for unskilled and Rs 450 for skilled workers, remuneration of village guards at par with minimum daily wage in vogue in the State, honorariam of numberdars and others commensurate with rise in the price index immediately.
He called upon employees, pensioners and all categories of workers to remain united under the banner of Federation for hard struggles in persistent and protracted manner for achieving their aforementioned and all other common as well as sectional grievances speedily.
