SAMBA, Dec 29: A meeting of All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation was held at Vijaypur today under the chairmanship of district president of Federation Janak Raj Sharma to chalk out the programme for one-day demonstration at district complex Samba on January 8.
The speakers during the meeting criticized the Government for not releasing the DA arrears of 10 percent due from July, 2013.
Addressing the meeting Mushtaq Choudhary, general secretary of the Federation criticized the transfer policy in Education Department which was going on without any check. He alleged that the transfer policy is being violated for teaching staff approved by State Cabinet during the year 2010 which says that the mid session transfers must be avoided.
He alleged that the Education Department was silent on burning demands like leave encashment for teaching community, release of salary of ReT third teacher, and transfer of masters, headmasters after completing their tenure in their home districts.
He also demanded that the daily wagers of PHE, PDD, health and other departments who have completed their seven years of service should be regularized.
The other demands raised included hike in Medical Allowance to Rs 1,000, raising retirement age to 60 years and removal of pay anomalies of clerks.
