LPEF highlights demands

JAMMU, Aug 31: All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) has urged the Governor to release Dearness Allowance (DA) in favour of the employees and pensioners of State Government.
In a handout, Federation President Abdul Majid Khan said as the hike in prices of essential commodities has made the life tough, so an increase in DA will help a lot to the employees and pensioners of State Government.
He further demanded revision in minimum wages of daily wagers, hike in remuneration of village guards, ReT teachers, contractual employees, honorarium of Anganwari workers and helpers etc.
Other demand raised by him included hike in medical allowance to at least Rs 1000.
