LPEF for releasing salaries of employees before Eid festival

SRINAGAR, June 19: All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) in a meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of its general secretary, Mohammed Javed Shah has demanded release of salary for the month of June in favour of State Government employees, public sector employees, daily wagers besides the pensioners before the festival of Eid.
The meeting also discussed various other issues of Government employees and urged the administration to solve them without further delay which included enhancement of Medical Allowance to Rs 3000 per month and regularisation of daily wagers and temporary employees.
The meeting said as there are continuous gazetted holidays before and after Eid festival, the employees as well as pensioners will face many constraints in celebrating the festival in case the salaries were not released prior to festival.
The meeting in an appeal to Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha sought his personnel intervention in the matter so that the employees can celebrate the festival without any difficulty.
The meeting among others was addressed by Mohammed Shaban Bhat, Nazir Ahmed Magrey, Abdul Rashid Bhat, Ghulam Mohammed Dar, Abdul Rehman, Manzoor Ahmed Rather, Mehraj-ud-Din, Ghulam Hassan, Shokat Ahmed, AbdulGgafar, , Ali Mohammed Bhat while Manzoor Ahmed Kichloo, Om Ji and Kabla Singh participated from Jammu through virtual mode.
