LPEF for enhancement of medical allowance

JAMMU, Sept 24: Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) has urged upon the Govt to enhance medical allowance of the employees and pensioners and also release the arrears of 7th Pay Commission.
Abdul Majid Khan, president of the Federation while addressing members of the Federation here today expressed resentment against the Govt for not increasing the Medical Allowance of the employees and pensioners from paltry amount of Rs 300 per month ahead. Khan also criticized Govt on Mediclaim Insurance scheme stating that for employees annual premium was fixed as just Rs 8777 whereas, for pensioners it was Rs 22,229, which is unaffordable.
He also demanded release of 7th Pay Commission arrears for pensioners and employees and urged upon the Govt for addressing the pending issues of RAMSA, SSA teachers, village guards, Numberdars/ Chowkidars and other workers.
