JAMMU, Dec 26: All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) has demanded the Government to release 10% DA instalment due since July 2013 in favour of State employees.
Abdul Majid Khan, State president of the Federation, while addressing the meeting, called upon all the Federal units to hold demonstrations and rallies at their respective tehsil and district headquarters to raise strong voice for expeditious release of DA instalments in cash instead of impounding into GPF accounts of employees.
The Federation chief further criticized the Government for its insensitivity towards the pensioners categorized as senior citizens, as it has not so far paid 3rd instalment of 6th CPC arrears due since April 2013 and arrears of 6% DA instalment pending since January- June 2009,  which has since been adjusted in GPF accounts of employees.
The meeting also demanded the Government to redress other demands besides enhancement of medical allowance to Rs 1000, retirement age to 60 years and minimum daily wages of contractual, need based and consolidated employees to Rs 300.
