JAMMU, Feb 25: All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) has made a strong plea to the Governor Administration to release 3 percent D A installment from January 2019 in respect of State employees and pensioners.
“Prices of essential goods of daily consumption are rising very rapidly so the Governor Administration should release 3 percent DA to State Government employees and pensioners soon as the same has recently been released by the Central Government in favour of its employees and pensioners,” LPEF president, Abdul Majid Khan said.
He has also sought enhancement in the medical allowance from present paltry rate of Rs 300 to at least Rs 1000 on central pattern and health insurance cover with affordable annual premium for the employees and pensioners as medicare expenses are soaring sky high day by day.
The Federation chief reiterated the demand for restoration of Leave travel concession in favour of the State employees to enable them to have a broader view of the other states of the country like their counterparts in other states.
