JAMMU, Apr 8: All J&K Low Paid Government Employees Federation has made a strong plea for release of 6% DA installment in favour of State employees and pensioners in cash as well.
Abdul Majid Khan, president, All J&K Low Paid Government Employees Federation criticized the order issued by the State Government impounding the arrear amount of much awaited 10% and 7% DA instalment from January and July 2014 upto March 2015 in GP Fund accounts of State employees and said DA is granted to neuteralise adverse impact of rise in price index on the salary and when any part of it is impounded it becomes highly injurious to poor employees being hit hard by sky rocketing prices of essentialities of life.
The federation chief however hailed that Class IV employees who are at the lowest rung administration will be paid DA arrears in cash terming it as a step in the right direction.
