RAJOURI, Feb 2: All J&K Low Paid Govt Employees Federation has demanded release of 4th annual installment of 6th Pay Commission and two pending DA installments of total 17%.
In a meeting of the Federation held under the chairmanship of Ghulam Rasool Rajpuri the members expressed serious concern over the delay being caused to address the issues of the low paid employees. They also raised strong voice in support of demand like post retirement benefits to helpers/ class-IV employees of PDD on deputation to PDC, who were regularized under SRO-64 dated 1-4-1994 and conversion of daily rated workers of PDD in relaxation of their age/qualification bar on the same analogy as has been applied in the cases of their counterparts converted since 2001.
They also demanded regularization of daily rated/ ad hoc/ contractual workers and release of 7 % and 10 % DA immediately. The members stressed upon for fixation of minimum wages as Rs 350 per day in view of rising cost of living.
