UDHAMPUR, Aug 28: General Railway Police Katra handed over a bag containing gold ornaments and cash to its owner, who had lost the same at Railway Station Katra.
While routine checking at Railway Station Katra, Personnel of GRP Katra recovered an unattended bag from Exit Point. On checking the bag, gold ornaments worth Rs 2 lakh, Rs 10000/- in cash, important documents and other valuable items were found.
Due to the professional approach and prompt action, GRP Katra found the bag owner namely Shekhar Chouhan son of Mahaveer Singh Chouhan of Dhola Bhata, Ajmer Rajasthan. After verification and completing all the legal formalities, GRP Katra handed over the bag to the owner along with gold ornaments and the cash. The owner lauded the role and honesty of GRP Katra which resulted into the recovery of his bag within hours.
