Sir,
I want to draw the attention of Divisional Commissioner Jammu that due to untimely heavy rains the Rabi crops got badly damaged in Tehsil Ramkot and Billawar. As per assessment of the farmers, the loss of crops is more than 60-70 percent. In this connection, it is said that Girdawan work as per Girdawan schedule to assess the loss is not conducted by the Revenue Department.
The farmers have incurred huge losses, and it is time to compensate them suitably. For this purpose, a team of expert Revenue Officers be constituted at the earliest.

Sir,
Firslty drought like conditions and later on continuous heavy rains caused loss of cops beyond description. And now harvesting and thrashing entailing a lot of expenditure with absolutely no hope of getting any benefit from this spoiled crop is another tax on the farmers. In the circumstances, it is highly becoming on the Govt to get the crop areas measured for preparation of genuine estimates of the losses. The unprecedented loss of crops has virtually broken the backbone of the farmers, having no other sources of livelihood. A sympathetic and justifiable procedure is required to be applied to ensure fair field and no favour in payment of compensation to the farmers. Loopholed systems, as generally complained of, often result into corrupt tactics and obviously, the justice as the masses expect, is not given. The Revenue authorities should, therefore, evolve a mechanism/system so that one is paid what he is entitled for. Favouritism, nepotism and greesing of palms as generally done in such situations, as the examples indicate, shouldn’t be allowed on the distressed masses.
