Locals protest against increasing theft cases

REASI, May 29: Local residents of Reasi today held a strong protest against increasing number of theft cases in the town during the past few days.
The agitating people held demonstration and raised slogans against the Police administration. They were demanding immediately crack down against the criminals and   strictly deal with the culprits to stop recurrences of theft cases in the area.
The protestors assembled at Reasi Park and took out a protest march, which passed from all bazars of the town and culminated at Bus Stand Reasi.
The protesters, led by Amit Sharma, alleged that despite repeated incident of thefts in the town, the Police has failed to tighten noose around the culprits and put them behind the bars.   He also urged the Reasi police to intensify night patrolling and keep vigil on the suspects.
The demonstration continued for four hours and people dispersed only after SSP Reasi assured them necessary action to check the theft cases.
