UDHAMPUR, July 27: Aggrieved over worst condition of the Ramnagar to Basantgarh road, locals of Basantgarh held a protest demonstration against R&B Department, here today.
The protesting people raised slogans against the R&B authorities and demanded immediate black topping of the road, which was inviting mishaps due to worst condition and big potholes.
As per the locals, because of the bad condition it takes four to hours by bus to cover this 60 km road stretch from Ramnagar to Basantgarh. The condition becomes worst in the rainy days as the entire road becomes slippery because of mud filled potholes throughout the stretch, they added.
They threatened to continue protest demonstrations if the road is not repair immediately.
