Rajouri, July 3: Locals of Panchayat Kote Dhara today staged protest demonstration against Jal Shakti Department (PHE) for irregular water supply.
The protest was organised under the leadership of JKAP leadaer Riaz Gakhar. The protestors were raising slogans against the department concerned and UT administration and in favour of their demands.
The protestors demanded regular supply of potable water in their areas.
Gakhar urged the District Administration to pay some attention towards the sufferings the people of Kote Dhara Panchayat and maintained water supply. “Due to absence of regular water supply, the people of various villages are compelled to drink contaminated water of ponds” he added.
