Poonch, Dec 21: The local people in border township of Poonch have requested the district administration to open the parks for the people with Covid precautions and allow the people to enter the parks lying closed for public since long.
Talking to the reporters here one senior citizen Yugal Kishore said that we often used to go to the park for evening walk, but after Covid the Govt has prohibited the entry in the parks and we are at our homes. College students Riaz and Mohd Owais said that they regularly visited the Krishan Chander Park for the studies as it’s the place which provide ultimate environment for the studies.
Some other locals- Dilbhag Singh, Mohd Saleem, Hashim and others have said that on the one hand the administration is allowing the political gatherings with no social distancing, markets and bus stands were flooded with people but the parks were kept closed due to which people were suffering. They also requested LG to look into the matter and allow the parks to reopen for public who follow Covid protocols.
