Lobia, peas ease on sluggish demand

 

NEW DELHI, Dec 9: Prices of lobia and peas drifted lower by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on muted demand from retailers.

            However, other pulses moved in a narrow range in limited deals and pegged at last levels.

            Traders said subdued demand from retailers against ample stocks position mainly weighed on lobia and peas prices.

            In the national capital, lobia fell by Rs 100 to Rs 4,400-4,600 per quintal. Peas white and green also eased by a similar margin to Rs 2,650-2,675 and Rs 2,700-2,800 per quintal.

            Following are today’s pulses rates (in Rs per quintal):

            Urad Rs 4,000-5,650, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 5,000-5,100, Urad best Rs 5,100-5,600, Dhoya Rs 5,500-5,700, Moong Rs 4,700-5,400, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 5,400-5,600, Moong Dhoya local Rs 6,000-6,500 and best quality Rs 6,500-6,700.

            Masoor small Rs 3,600-3,700, bold Rs 3,650-3,800, Dal Masoor local Rs 3,700-4,200, best quality Rs 3,800-4,300, Malka local Rs 4,100-4,300, best Rs 4,200-4,500, Moth Rs 3,600-4,000, Arhar Rs 3,850 Dal Arhar Dara Rs 5600-7,500.

            Gram Rs 4,600-4,900, Gram dal (local) Rs 5,100-5,500, best quality Rs 5,500-5,600, Besan (35 kg), Shakti bhog Rs 2,200, Rajdhani Rs 2,200, Rajma Chitra Rs 7,000-9,300, Kabuli Gram small Rs 7,000-8,000, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 4,400-4,600, Peas white Rs 2,650-2,675 and green Rs 2,700-2,800.
