JAMMU, Apr 23: Legal Metrology Department, Jammu today issued a legal notice to the management of RB Jodhamal Public School (RBJPS) for selling notebooks to their students with their school logo on exorbitant rates, in connivance with Sahitya Sangam bookseller.
The action was taken by the Deputy Controller, Consumer Protection, Legal Metrology Department, acting on the complaints against different schools.
In another drive conducted at Gandhi Nagar, Inspector, LMD, M Khateeb, booked a sports goods seller for displaying pacakaged goods in his trading premises without MRP, for sale. A penalty of Rs 7000 was imposed on the defaulting trader by Deputy Controller, Consumer Protection, VS Sambyal.
