UDHAMPUR, Apr 30 : Continuing its drive to protect consumers against illegal trade practices of trading community, Legal Metrology Department (LMD) Udhampur conducted market checking and recovered a fine of Rs. 8000 from 08 erring traders for violation of various provisions of weights and measures Act.
Further, the Department has asked the traders to use only verified standard weight and measures and not to use unfair trade practices to cheat the innocent consumers.
