I would like to request Chief Minister and Education Minister of J&K State to give justice to newly selected lecturers of 10+2 schools by way of revocation of SRO-202 of 2015. It is pertinent to mention that these lecturers have been selected by the PSC by way of the same recruitment process which was applicable to all other Gazetted services of State Govt. So to include only school Lecturers in the SRO-202 is great injustice to the teaching community. In fact throughout the world the teachers are given Higher grade of Pay than other employees so that they can devote fully to their sacred profession. The down -grading of lecturers will lead to inferiority complex in them and especially when even class IVth employees in the same school will get higher pay than these so called lecturers, imagine what will be the state of mind of this pillar of Nation? Many serious problems of emotional health, seniority, downward financial swing and lack of interest in job will be there in these newly appointed Lectuters.
Being highly qualified with SET, NET and Ph.D, they will try to get another job with full pay scale and ultimately the student will suffer in the days to come. It is requested that Rule-8 and Rule-9 of this SRO should be withdrawn immediately and regular mode of appointment like other Gazetted officers be offered to them to strengthen their devotion and attitude. Moreover, female lecturers be exempted from Hard Zone-III Posting due to social, physical and security related reasons. The lady Lecturers be adjusted near their present residance to lookafter their families in better way and also to serve with full capability, if suitably adjusted.
