JAMMU, June 11: Lions Club, RS Pura donated sewing machines to 14 poor and needy women, in a function organized today at Prajapati Temple, Ward No 1, RS Pura.
The function was organized under the supervision of deputy governors, Jagjit Singh and Dr Padam Dev Rana. SDPO RS Pura, Surinder Choudhary, who was the chief guest on the occasion, distributed sewing machines to 14 poor and needy women, who were selected on the basis of their financial status.
The distribution was intended to empower women by providing with a livelihood. President, Lions Club, RS Pura, Kuldeep Raj Gupta and general secretary, Sahil Gupta, were also present on the occasion.
