RAMBAN, July 13: Police fished out the dead body of Power Development Department (PDD) lineman, who got drowned in a swollen nallah near Maitra area of the district yesterday.
As per police sources, PDD lineman identified as Abdul Rashid, son of Mohammad Yaqoob, a resident of Failthi got washed away in a swollen nallah near Maitra yesterday.
After getting information, police team from Ramban police station rushed to the spot and divers were pressed into service to fish out the body.
Due to inclement weather, the search operation was suspended in the late hours yesterday.
The search operation was re-launched today morning and the body was fished out.
The body was shifted to District Hospital Ramban, where after completing medical-legal formalities, it was handed over to family members for last rites.
Ramban police has taken cognizance in this regard.
