KATHUA, Mar 6: A lineman was electrocuted while working on transformer at Bani this afternoon.
Identified as Darmez Singh, son of Jamoto Ram Singh of Bani he fell down after receiving electric current and got head injury.
He was rushed to Bani Hospital where doctors described his condition as critical. Later the district administration contacted Divisional Commissioner Jammu who arranged a special helicopter and he was shifted to GMC Jammu where he is recovering. The doctors have termed his condition out of danger now.
In another incident a youth Raj Kumar, son of Dewan Chand who was dead drunk fell down from a bridge near Mahanpur late last night and died on spot.
A case has been registered by Police Station Basholi under Section 174 and the body was handed over to his family after postmortem.
