RAMBAN, Aug 6: A daily wager lineman of PDD was electrocuted while repairing an electric line in Kundi Karool area here last evening.
Official sources said the lineman received electric shock while repairing an electric wire and he fell unconscious.
Locals shifted him to District Hospital Ramban where he was declared brought dead by the doctors.
Police identified the deceased as Reyaz Ahmed, son of Wali Mohammad, resident of Kundi, Karol, Ramban.
After getting the information relatives of the deceased gathered at District Hospital Ramban and demanded registration of FIR against PDD and compensation in favour of family members of the deceased.
Later SHO Police Station Ramban; ADC, Ramban Harbans Lal Sharma; DDC Chairperson Ramban, Dr. Shamshada Shan also reached the Hospital and assured the relatives of the deceased of FIR registration.
