JAMMU, Jan 29: Former Minister, Ex MLA, Marh and chairman Panchayati Raj Cell, BJP J&K UT, Choudhary Sukhnandan Kumar has termed exempting the Road and Token Tax on Agriculture tractors and power tillers with an engine emission upto 3000 CC capacity a great step towards the upliftment of farmers community and their welfare in J&K taken by Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha.
In a press statement here, today he complimented Manoj Sinha on behalf of farmers’ community of J&K for this great step and historical decision taken for the betterment of the community in the UT.
It is pertinent to mention here that on January 5 this year, Sukhnandan Kumar had called on Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha and raised the demand of exemption of Road and Token Tax on Agriculture tractors. He had also shown his concern over the ban on mining in Jammu province due to which common man is suffering a lot.
Further he hoped that as the Government has resolved the issue of Token Tax on tractors ,the issue of lifting of the ban on mining will also be resolved by the Government so that common people can heave a sigh of relief.
