LG Mathur sanctions Rs 65.53 lakh in favour of registered labourers

LEH, May 12: In another move to help and support the vulnerable section of labourers in Ladakh amid the crisis of COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown, the 2nd instalment of Rs.1000 each was approved to be paid to the registered labourers of Leh and Kargil districts.
Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, R. K. Mathur sanctioned a total amount of  Rs. 65,53,000 out of which Rs. 30,90,000 for Leh and Rs. 34,63,000 for  Kargil districts in favour of the Registered Construction Workers of UT  Ladakh.
An amount of Rs.1000 each will be disbursed by Assistant Labour Commissioner, Leh and Kargil to the registered labourers under Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board through DBT in their individual bank accounts for the purchase of ration during the lockdown period.
