NEW DELHI, Oct 14: On the World Standards Day, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu said that the level of commitment to the standards will define the quality of outcome of any process.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter on Sunday, Mr Prabhu wrote, ”On the World Standards Day, let’s remind ourselves that the level of our commitment to the standards will define the quality of outcome of any process.”
”To make the vision of Make In India a reality, we must not only achieve world-class standards but become the ones who define them,” he stated.
Each year on October 14, the members of the ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) and ITU (International Telecommunication Union) celebrate World Standards Day, which is a means of paying tribute to the collaborative efforts of the thousands of experts worldwide who develop the voluntary technical agreements that are published as international standards.
