Srinagar, Nov 12: One militant of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) was killed in an encounter in Sonamarg area of Ganderbal district today.
Army and police today launched a massive operation in Kulan area of Sonamarg in Ganderbal district after inputs about presence of some militants hiding in the area.
One militant identified as Khalid alias Zargam of Pakistan was killed in the encounter and one Army personnel was injured. One AK rifle has been recovered from the possession of the militant.
And in the meantime, security forces laucnhed search operation in Naik Mohalla Largam, Potarwal and Nazeneen Pora in district Shopian after inputs about presence of militants in the area. The operation was on when reports last came in.
