Srinagar, Nov 11: A 12-year-old boy was attacked by leopard in Kupwara district.
Police said Rayees Ahmed son of Mohammad Rafi Banday of Thamdina was critically injured, and the villagers rescued the boy from the clutches of the leopard, who too was injured by the villagers. The boy was shifted to a hospital for treatment.
The injured leopard was also evacuated to Animal Husbandry Hospital, Karnah, Kupwara for treatment.
