Srinagar, Oct 19: A leopard was today found dead in the Kokernag forests of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Officials said that the villagers noticed a carcass of a leopard lying in the bushes of the forest area of Kokernag and promptly informed the Wildlife Department officials.
After the Wildlife department was informed, a team swiftly reached the spot and recovered the remains of the dead leopard.
While the officials claim that the leopard seems to have died of natural causes, the forensic experts, as per protocol, have collected samples to ascertain the cause of death.
