Leopard captured alive

DODA, Jan 23: In a joint operation carried out by the Forest, Wild Life and Police Departments, a leopard has been captured alive, which entered into village Manwa, here today.
As per police sources, a leopard entered into village Manwa and locals informed the Wild Life Department.
A joint team of Wild Life, Forest and Police Departments headed by Range Officer Killer Zuffar-ul-Sheikh under the supervision of DFO Bhaderwah Vivek Verma and Chief Conservator TB Singh rushed to the spot and after a struggle of five hours, captured the leopard alive.
The leopard has been sent to Wild Life Sanctuary, Kishtwar, sources said, adding that the timely action has saved the lives of people residing in the village Manwa.
