Leh, Kargil cases to be heard in Jammu, Srinagar wings of HC

JAMMU, Mar 19: The cases of all nature relating to Leh and Kargil districts will be heard and decided by the Jammu and Srinagar Wings of the High Court.
A circular in this regard has been issued by the Registrar General of J&K High Court Sanjay Dhar on the directions of the Chief Justice.
“Chief Justice has directed that cases of all nature relating to Leh district shall be filed, heard and decided in Jammu wing of the High Court. Similarly, such matters relating to Kargil district shall be filed, heard and decided in Srinagar wing of the High Court”, read the circular.
“In exceptional cases or if it is not practicable to file case before the particular wing it shall be filed before the other wing with the leave of Chief Justice or in her absence the senior most Judge available at the headquarter”, the circular further read.
