LOS ANGELES, June 8: Actor Reese Witherspoon has confirmed that she will be reprising her role of idealistic Elle Woods in “Legally Blonde 3”.
The actor took to Twitter and shared a video of herself clad in a pink bikini, floating in a pool in a nod to a scene in the film.
“It’s true,” Witherspoon captioned the video.
Witherspoon, 42, last played the character in 2003’s “Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde”.
After the actor’s tweet, MGM Studios announced that the third part will release on Valentine’s Day in 2020.
“Back in Pink in 2020! #LegallyBlonde3,” read a tweet from the studio’s official Twitter handle.
Witherspoon’s production company Hello Sunshine is also expected to produce the film. (PTI)
