SRINAGAR, Nov 11: The Legal Metrology officials booked Delhi Public School, Budgam, for selling the four work sheet books at an exorbitant rate of Rs 900 to KG students.
A metrology official said a parent had complained about it, and immediately a team was dispatched to investigate into the complaint.
The team observed that the work-sheet books were found without the mention of price, number of pages, size of the page which are pre-requisites under the Legal Metrology laws.
“The school management confessed the lapse and ensured that in future no such shortcomings will be observed in the institute. A fine of Rs. 10,000 was slapped on the school for the lapse,” the official said.
