Leela Karan demands CBI probe into selections made by PSC

JAMMU, Aug 2:  Taking strong note of the functioning of the J&K Public Service Commission (PSC), Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), State president, Leela Karan Sharma today said the discrimination with Jammu youth has increased manifold after the reconstitution of the PSC in the State.
Talking to reporters here, today Leela Karan Sharma said a fraud is being played by PSC in setting, leaking and include experts of their choice to benefit the particular community. During this period even in the selection of Munsiffs in the judiciary only two persons out of the 11 are selected from minority community and that too one from Schedule Caste and other a ward of the senior Cabinet Minister, he added.
He said the way they made discrimination in employment, the future of the youth of Jammu region is in jeopardy and it is a great concern for people of Jammu. Thorough enquiry is required in the constitution of the members of PSC, their incidence and selection being made by them, he added. He demanded an enquiry must be conducted by a retired Judge of the SC or by CBI in the same way as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh has ordered on the selection made by UP PSC.
Sharma also took serious note of the working of the ministers from Jammu region who were voted for development of this region. Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has launched many schemes such as Swachh Bharat, Jan Dhan Yojna and Insurance for social security. But nothing seems to be done on the ground in Jammu, he added.
Sharma said that “we salute the security forces who are doing a hurricane job in eliminating the militancy,. Anybody who takes guns or throws stones on the Army is equally guilty of anti national act and has to be dealt with force”, he added.
He said “the way the NIA for the first time has arrested the Hurriyat leaders who are responsible for the violence in Kashmir but the big sharks are still at large which required to be taken to task and their amenities withdrawn immediately”, he added.
Shakti Dutt Sharma, Dev Raj Sharma vice presidents, Ajay Manhas joint secretary VHP were also present in the press conference.
