JAMMU, May 24: A number of Plus Two Lecturers, who have been working on Plan posts in various Higher Secondary Schools in Jammu division, are without salary for the last four months.
A deputation of All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation today called on Director School Education Jammu and apprised him of the grievance of these Lecturers who have not been paid their salary since January.
The deputation, led by Maheshwar Prasad, told the Director that the Government has not released salary of the Lecturers working on plan postings in different Higher Secondary Schools of Jammu division. These Lecturers are without salary since January resulting into great hardship to their families while the State Government was passing buck to the Planning Commission for not releasing funds under the plan, he explained.
The Director gave a patient hearing to the deputation and said that he would take up the matter with higher authorities for necessary action.
The deputation comprised of Sudesh Gupta, Dr Ashok Khajuria, Paranjeet Singh, Varinder Sharma, Narinder, Vijay Sharma, Vijay Angral and others.
