Lecturer in CB net for duping innocent people

JAMMU, Sept 3: Crime Branch Jammu has booked a Lecturer for duping the innocent people on the pretext of managing Government job.
According to an official spokesman, a communication bearing No. SVC/Complt-166/2014 dated 16.08.2016 made by the Registrar, State Vigilance Commission together with the copy of the order dated 20.07.2016 passed by the Commission in a complaint titled Abdul Rehman Versus Mohammad Rashid was received in Crime Branch.
The perusal of the complaint and connected record revealed that complainants Abdul Rehman, Abdul Rasheed and Sherbaz of Tehsil Thanamandi had filed separate complaints alleging therein that Mohammad Rashid, son of Bagha Khan of Azmatabad, Rajouri, who was working as a Lecturer in Government Higher Secondary School, Plangarh, had in the month of April 2012 met them and allured them that in case they pay him Rs two lakh each he would get their sons/brothers employed in the Army.
On his assurance, the complainants gave an amount of Rs 1.60 lakh each and assured that balance amount of Rs 40,000 each, will be paid after getting the appointment order but after waiting for a considerable time no appointment order was provided and the accused refused to return the money and even extended threats of dire consequences.
Acting on the complaint, Crime Branch initiated enquiry and it came to fore that the complainants had been cheated and defrauded by the accused.
The omissions and commissions, therefore, on the part of Mohammad Rashid, son of Bagha Khan of Azmatabad, Rajouri, prima facie, constitute offences punishable under Section 420 RPC. Accordingly, a formal case has been registered against him.
