Lecturer booked for kidnapping attempt of student

MENDHAR, Aug 24: Police today booked a lecturer for allegedly making bid to outrage the modesty of a young woman and trying to kidnap her along with his two associates from Nakka Majari area of Mendhar last night.
Sources said that Lecturer Abdul Shakoor, son of Abdul Majid Khan, resident of Harmutta in Gursai area moved to Nakka Majari village in his Alto Car No. JK-12/3947 last night. At around 11 pm, he along with his two associates barged into the house of his ex-student of class 12th and tried to outrage her modesty. They also tried to abduct the girl but she raised alarm. The family members got alerted and rushed for help. The neighbours also woke up. They caught the lecturer and beat up but he managed to slip away leaving behind his car. His associates also banished in darkness.
People gathered there and they broken the car and deflated its all the tyres. Later, they informed Gursai police. Police registered a case FIR No. 68/ 2014 against the teacher and his associates and started search for them.
SDPO Mendhar, Surinder Choudhary when contacted confirmed that Lecturer has been booked and the police parties were conducting raids to nab him. It has been learnt that this newly married young woman was ex-student of this Urdu lecturer. The police is also looking for his associates who had covered their faces with cloth during operation.
