JAMMU, Aug 23: An extension lecture on “adverse effects of drug abuse and rehabilitation” was organized in the Government College of Education (GCOE) today.
Motivational and public speaker Manish Bhadwal was the resource person while as Prof Dr Sangita Nagari, Principal of the College was the chief guest on the occasion.
Manish Bhadwal enlightened the audience with the ill-effects of drugs and how it affects the normal functioning of the nervous cells. He also briefed about the rehabilitation of the addictive ones.
Prof Dr Sangita Nagari appealed the students to stay away from the addictive substances as these substances affect the nervous system of the person.
NSS Programme Officer Prof Sunita presented the formal welcome address and apprised the audience about the annual activity calendar of Drug De Addiction Policy in the State.
A self composed poem was recited by Sapna Sharma, student of B.Ed IIIrd Semester on drug abuse. Prof Neelam Dhar, Prof Mansi and Prof Ruksana were also presented on the occasion.
The whole programmed was coordinated by Prof Sunita Devi, Dr Shubhra Jamwal and Prof Shapia. Master Ravinder, Ajay Bhau and Jasbir, students of B.Ed 1st Semester compared the event.
