THIRUVANANTHAPURAM : Ace shooters Jitu Rai and Hariom Singh will be seen in action at the 35th National Games to be held in Kerala from January 31. Shooting offers a total of 114 medals from 38 events at the National Games, the largest number of medals offered by any sport other than Aquatics and Athletics. An official statement here today said several leading shooters have already confirmed their participation. They include Jitu Rai, Hariom Singh and Sathyendra Singh, all from Services Sports Control Board (SSCB), Ninad Chaudari (Maharashtra), Ishan Goel (UP), Navdeep Singh Rathore (MP) and B K Sidhartha Babu (Kerala) among men, and Anjum Moudgil (Haryana), Elizabeth Susan Koshy (Kerala), Chahat Deep Kaur (Punjab) and Tejswini R Sawant (MH) among women. Two important ranking cum selection trials are also being conducted in Thiruvananthapuram immediately after the Games namely, Kumar Surendra Singh Memorial Shooting Championship and a selection trial.
