Lead futures up 0.68 pc on global cues, spot demand

NEW DELHI, June 11:  Buoyed by a firm global trend and rising domestic demand, lead futures traded higher by 0.68 per cent to Rs 126.35 per kg today as speculators enlarged positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in June traded higher by 85 paise, or 0.68 per cent, to Rs 126.35 per kg in business turnover of 2,021 lots.
On the similar lines, the metal for delivery in June edged up by 80 paise, or 0.63 per cent, to Rs 126.95 per kg in 166 lots.
Market analysts said besides better demand in spot market, firm global trend in base metals mainly helped lead to trade with gains at futures trade. (PTI)
